The story of the Eye of The Sahara City, now lovingly called EOS City by the the Eosians as the inhabitants are named, started a very very long time ago… A weary knight, a deserter of the Crusades against the Arabs and the Moors, had fled from the war and was nearly dead from starvation and dehydration when he stumbled of a desert hill…what he found was a sunken land, more beautiful than he could ever imagine. Hidden from the surrounding desert, this sunken land was a myriad of oases and fertile lands. He could feel the strength of the Earth’s energy flowing through this land as he drank from the oasis. A small settlement welcomed the wandering knight and he decided to stay and farm the land. Word got out and more people came, Moors, Arabs, knights fleeing from the war, travelers and traders, many felt the strength of the place and decided to work the land together and to stay and call EOS City their home.

Over time, this magical place in the desert grew out of a passion and love for the place to a vibrant town and an obligatory stop for the caravans traversing the Sahara desert. The Eosians hooked together and called upon friends and family to come live with them. And the city grew larger and larger in a natural way. Whether you were a trader, a hunter, or a warrior, the city welcomed everyone who was willing to bring their best to the city and was willing to bring prosperity to the city and the Eosians. There were no rules or rulers, no planners or bosses, just a community who lived and grew together. And it was the most amazing place to live in.

After hundreds of years, no one knows anymore who was that first knight, and the city had grown exponentially. The people in the center of the city didn’t know anymore the ones who lived at the edge, but it was still a city from the people, for the people. Just having things work in an organized way was also getting more difficult. Out of the will to bring the community back together and make the city even more amazing than it already was, and out of respect for that first knight, a group of people came together and started The Order Of The Eye [OOTE]. A round table guild with the intention not to rule but to provide a community platform where everyone would be equal and could have a voice in how the city would grow, how it would be organized. Together with other guilds, they started to work on erecting the City Council, a democratic system that aims to get everyone together to help the city move forward.
